However, in order to reach those goals, one must have an awesome checklist. So, If you don’t already have the following things on your checklist, I advice you make a few changes.

Do you have a website?

Perhaps 2017 should be your year to get on board the website train.

And if you do, be sure to evoke a positive response from you audience. Your website should be a trusted source of information.

In addition, make sure that whatever product or service that you sell or promote is going to be beneficial to your visitors

2. Engagement

Does your website, or landing page have a solid call-to-action button or message that will will encourage an active response from your visitors?

It’s important that you appeal to your audience in a fun, informative and creative way that will knockout your internet marketing competitors. Do not hesitate to be different this year and step out of your comfort zone.

3. Measurement

Internet marketing key to success is your willingness to notice and accept your down falls and make positive changes. In other words, measure your results.

How do you measure your results?


Invest in a good quality tracking, analytics and optimization tool like as it will help improve your overall internet marketing performance.

4. Sales

The purpose of internet marketing is to get those sales.

The recipe to a good salesperson, is one who acknowledges their audiences needs, appreciate their response and never loses touch by consistently following up.

So, what are you doing to ensure that your customer are being acknowledged and appreciated? Also, how do you follow up with your visitors?

Remember that timing is everything so just because your visitor does not buy one times, doesn’t mean they will never buy from you again.

So, don’t lose touch!

5. Email

Email marketing is still regarded to this day as one of the best forms of internet marketing. Therefore, it important that you take advantage of this platform.

The best way to do this is to invest in an email program that will allow you to regularly provide clients with valuable content  that will help drive visitors back to your site and convert them into a customer.

6. Mobile

This one is very important. Make sure you optimize your site for mobile and tablet use. If you do not do this, you will risk losing 50% of your traffic!

7. Search Engine Optimization

Remember to utilize keywords effectively in your content. SEO is crucial in your road to success.

8.  Reviews

Are there review sites for the product or service you are selling or promoting? is your business or product listen on them? because It is a natural instinct that we confide in others to encourage us to take actions.

It is for that exact reason that you should produce and sell for the reviews. People confide in others to encourage them to take action so reviews are everything in internet marketing.

Thus, I advise you find a means to drive great reviews to a site that your current client are apart of. Whether that be a forum or a social media group, make sure that you drive your product reviews there.

9. Content

Do you have a means of consistently publishing content for your target audience?

If not, one way to get started is with a blog or a YouTube Channel. Those Platforms are the best ways to provide quality, relevant and informative content that is related to your product or service.

10. Social Media

Are you on social media?

Social Media is the second best form of internet marketing.

The ability to develop consistently great content plus maintain an open line of communication via social media, will be the best thing for your business.

Furthermore, your followers will be able to share your content/product with others. Thus, helping you to amplify your message into other relevant networks of prospects.

11. Promotion

Once you have your means to produce, respond and amplify, you will need to begin promoting.

The easiest and most popular way to promote your business is through paid traffic, sponsored posts, Facebook advertising, Twitter advertising, YouTube advertising, public relations, etc.

12. Automation

I mentioned before that timing is everything. Well, this is why you need to Invest in an automation software that gives you the ability to publish the right message at the right time.

An example of a software you could use is Active Campaign. This automation software will allow you to monitor and route requests from any network and assign it to the right resource. Furthermore, it will keep score and automatically respond to leads based on their level of engagement.

13. Testing

Through every campaign or promotion you put into action, DO NOT forget to A/B test it with Testing everything you do will be your biggest help in becoming successful and that is one thing I can guarantee.

  1. I enjoyed this article as I love to read and write a lot. In 2017 spam and privacy concerns doubled, email marketing trend went down. Your readers must become your fans before you drive them to a landing page or popup form.

    Content, social media, engagement and sales are on my list for this year. I see you started your blog last year in summer. Your blog age is a factor you must count for search engines. You have a good following on your Facebook page too.

    Also, I’ve noticed that you are into link tracking and split testing which can become handy when you deal with too many visitors.

    I’m glad that I can count on your recommendation when I decide to go for a tracking software investment. I just got started so I don’t have too many readers.

    My approach is that people don’t meet by mistake. There is always a reason. Maybe we can help each other this year.
